THE STEAKS ARE HIGH
Established in 1977, we are experts when it comes to the value of adhering to above-standard processes. The quality of our products and the safety of our consumers is guaranteed through our world-class practices.
Founded by Hennie Venter, Vencor is grounded in 44 years of experience in cattle production. At its establishment, the initial size of the feedlot offering totalled 1500 units.
The baton passed onto his daughter, Adri, and her husband, Rassie, who now manage the establishment. Through their management, the feedlot expanded to 7000 animals and then further to 9000 in the years to follow.
The introduction of the abattoir 26 years ago marked a monumental addition to the business. At its formation, the slaughter capacity was 50 animals per day and further expanded to 250 per day. Since then, halaal status was received in 2015, while 2018 marked the year of achieving export status.
As the market leaders in Limpopo, we have a vested interest in refining our processes and expanding our market. Our operation is under sustained advancement with the embrace of technological improvement, while the growth of our retail setup is also in sight. We aim to export our own branded meat products to Africa and beyond.
