Vencor Founder Hennie Venter

1977

A new era

Founded by Hennie Venter, Vencor is grounded in 44 years of experience in cattle production. At its establishment, the initial size of the feedlot offering totalled 1500 units.

The legacy continues

The baton passed onto his daughter, Adri, and her husband, Rassie, who now manage the establishment. Through their management, the feedlot expanded to 7000 animals and then further to 9000 in the years to follow.

1995

Making history

The introduction of the abattoir 26 years ago marked a monumental addition to the business. At its formation, the slaughter capacity was 50 animals per day and further expanded to 250 per day. Since then, halaal status was received in 2015, while 2018 marked the year of achieving export status.
